Jun 5, 2024 -- Revolutionizing the Work
Centerton, AR
May 30 - June 5, 2024
Hope you all are having a wonderful start to your summer! Summers here in AR are just as hot as UT, but dowsed in humidity. The Cicedas and greenery make up for it though, it is beautiful out here!
Highlights!
• Spent another afternoon hauling trees in Bentonville! I learned 1.Many hands make light work and 2.Investing in a chainsaw is absolutely worth it.
• Ian was disappointed when we told them that he probably can't be baptized for George Washington, and then we had to dissuade Wyatt from getting on a platform and street preaching😅 It is one of his many ideas to revolutionize missionary work haha. We also told him that his original idea of putting cards on everyone's door doesn't always fill the chapel. I'm not sure if he believes us.
• We taught Kirsty the Word of Wisdom and she said she wanted to take it slow and over time. She has already overcome so much. Yet as we reminded her of her upcoming baptism, she said she would absolutely do it in the next few weeks because baptism is absolutely worth it!
• Walking through the chapel Sister Brown asks "is this seat saved for Santa?" I don't hesitate to say "yes". Comp unity 100. We have started reading each others minds. (And also have this awesome guy in our ward who is apparently Santa every Christmas)
This week a few selections from the new hymnbook came out, and they are absolutely amazing. Just like everyone else, I was especially excited for Come Thou Fount. After singing it so many times with the other PV 10 YW, it is close to my heart (sure love and miss you all!) Too often I catch my self slipping away, forgetting, wandering. I love the message it brings of giving it all to God.
"Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love. Here’s my heart, O take and seal it; Seal it for Thy courts above"
#1001 Come Thou Fount
Love and Mizpah!
