Centerton, AR  April 25 - May 1, 2024 Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful week and end of the school year!! The start of my week was pretty slow with Sister Brown being sick, but she got better just in time for lots of miracles. Highlights! •     Couldn't think of a good title, but I had a pretty great song stuck in my head the other day. If you know, you know. •     Some of our members invited us over to dinner with Ivan! We talked about the first vision, and he shared an amazing experience that really connected him to it. It was such a spiritual lesson, and he has been so excited to read the Book of Mormon with his friends and to get involved. He is so ready for this! •     Kirsty has been meeting with missionaries a while now, and it's been hard to keep in contact. This week we were able to go by for a last-minute lesson, where we talked all about baptisms and the blessings of it. We re-invited her to prepare for a day in June and I have never had someone so eager a

Centerton, AR  April 18 - 24, 2024 This week we had the most amazing experience of going to the temple with Wyatt. It was crazy to watch someone who was baptized a month ago himself turn around and baptize us missionaries by proxy. Wyatt absolutely loved it there, and it was such a joyful spiritual experience I will never forget!  Highlights! •     Wyatt spoke in stake Conference, and I have never heard a congregation laugh so much, this guy is going to be a stand up comedian one day🤣 •     After getting a new number and being MIA, Ivan is back! And wow, he is the most prepared person I've ever met. He really wants to work on himself, spend time with better people, and put God in the center of his relationships. We ended up texting the wrong member to host our lesson and showed up at his brother's house. Ivan got along so well with this guy we had never met or considered. The Lord knew where we needed to be! •     Got to go out with Heather for a birthday lunch! The sisters ha

Centerton, AR  April 11 - 17, 2024 Hello!! Hope you are all having a wonderful week! Sending love and prayers as always:) Highlights! •     Our youth group did an activity called a "Mini Mission" that we've been prepping them for a while now. They were assigned a companion and went off to the homes of their friends to share about our faith and connect over Jesus Christ! So cool to see all of these future missionaries, and to hear their amazing experiences growing in confidence and opening doors. •     Slowly improving my pickleball skills out here. 😎 (siblings back home you better get practicing) •     Met a lady who leads a local church choir and occasionally has them "go Mormon today" and sing from our hymn book! • Ran into someone by divine design, and she was really interested in trying out the Book of Mormon. She said she would go order a copy online, so it was so cool being able to leave her with the one in my hands. •     "We've got to get you t

Apr. 10, 2024 -- Solar Eclipse

Centerton, AR  April 4 - 9, 2024 This week we had two major events here in the ABM. Firstly, general conference! We got to watch it with some of our friends and new members and it was absolutely amazing. I especially loved Elder Kearon's talk about how God's entire purpose is to bring us safely home to Him. If you haven't watched it yet, and want some inspiration, I would highly recommend the Saturday Evening session!  We also got to watch a Total Solar Eclipse! It's was a pretty big deal, and Bentonville was packed: musicians playing "total Eclipse of the Heart", storm troopers walking around, and tourists staring up at the sky. Its pretty crazy watching the moon, though it is so small in comparison, almost completely blocking our access to the sun. In a similar way, sometimes small things can get in the way of our access to the Son, Jesus Christ. I love this quote by Elder Stevenson: "...be vigilant not to allow insignificant and inconsequential matters

Centerton, AR  March 21- April 3, 2024 Happy Easter!! Transfers have come and gone, and I had to say goodbye to Sister Thayn after just one transfer. I'm so glad I was able to meet her, and we learned so much together and she will be very missed! I'm now training a new missionary, Sister Brown. She is so much fun, and so ready to work!  Highlights! •     Easter Sunday was absolutely wonderful. Our new friends Tabi and Nick (who met one of the senior missionaries at dollar tree!) decided to come, and Wyatt brought his mom! • Got to decorate Easter eggs with some ward members! The kids named their artwork, one of which was "crying in B minor" • I'm not in her area anymore... but Wendy got baptized!!😆 The main highlight of the past two weeks was meeting Summer and Brian. The night before, they had prayed for a sign. It took a couple hours of talking to her neighbor about plants (unknowingly waiting for us) for her to be in the right place at the right time, but she

Centerton, AR  March 14- 20 Hello!! It's been a wonderful week, I'll jump right in -       We have a sister in our ward who has been through so much, and because of those trials she and her family haven't come to church in years. This week we went with her, her oldest son Ian, and one of her good friends from the ward on a 'girls' night'. We watched the musical production Lamb of God, and it was stunning. On the way out we walked past the temple and something must have just clicked into place.      That next Sunday they came to church, and we received the text that every missionary dreams of - she wants to come back. She wants to go to the temple, and her son wants to be baptized. Last night we met with them again, there were so many tears, and it was the most beautiful thing🥲🩷 Highlights! •     Had the most amazing church tour with our new friend Dallas! He is a deep thinker and so genuine. •     Have any of you seen the weather report studio c? I was afraid
