Jan. 15, 2025 -- Bible Belt *Buckle*

Crazy week! I had to leave behind Sister Barrus and YSA, but am excited to be starting out in Rogersville! It's once again small and out in the boonies, and we are loving it!! Sister Going is such a hard worker and I'm so excited for the miracles we are going to see here.

Highlights! 
•     This week we were assured that no, we are not in the bible belt - we are in the bible belt... buckle🤣 Could not be more true.
•     The last sisters were teaching Brent, and he is amazing!! We were able to bring his old coworker along- Bob gave him a Book of Mormon probably 10 years ago, and I imagine it must be pretty amazing for Bob to watch him come full circle and prepare for baptism!
•     There are always the most interesting miracles God places in the path of those we teach. Years back Brent had some awful experiences and was driving alone for hours on end to get home to MO. A blizzard followed him and he was left with nothing but his swirling dark thoughts on the icy roads. Just 3 of those hours are lost from his memory, where his mind was clear and he was at peace. And those 3 hours encapsulated his drive through the state of UT👀God works in mysterious ways, but it sure left an impact on Brent.
•     We got a lot of snow this week, but it meant knocking our neighborhood and chatting with the absolute cutest neighbors. I'm loving Rogersville!!

These last few months (maybe just the whole mission😅) I've been constantly stretched out of my comfort zone. It's been exhausting but I wouldn't change the experiences I've had and things I've learned for the world. Don't be afraid to try something new this week!

Har-Ber Springdale, AR 1/04/24 - 1/10/24 Highlights! •     Finally finished talking Plan of Salvation with Donna after 3 long lessons! She is so involved and goes in deep. Har-Ber Springdale AR January 18th-24th, 2024 Hey!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. We've kept busy here, so straight to the highlights! •     Parul really wants both of her kids to be baptized, but one of them doesn't need to be (we believe it is only necessary for those who are old enough and able to understand the commitment). We were worried she wouldn't let Wendy be baptized if Patrick couldn't, but it suddenly clicked for her that we aren't excluding him, he is simply whole and pure already😊 •     We knocked into our member Sandy's son, he wasn't super interested, but we mentioned it to her. She said she's felt prompted lately that she needs to tell her kids about the Book of Mormon and this helped confirm it!! Out with the Swamp Kittens -- Jan. 31, 2024

Har-Ber Springdale, AR Jan 25th - 31st, 2024 Another great week here in Springdale! I've been working with Parul and her family pretty much since starting and they have come so far. This week they sat in first hour of church (sacrament meeting) for the first time! That was a big steppingstone, Parul has been so worried about it knowing how crazy her kinds can be. It went wonderfully and everyone had a great experience. Wendy is on track to be baptized on the 17th!! Highlights! •     Hit 6 months today!!🎉 •     Saw a live possum "swamp kitty" crossing the street •     We had records of someone the missionaries had visited and had a pretty bad interaction with. He was upset they hadn't come in so long... but because he was so upset no one had come back in another 2 years. Sister Morton felt we should do something so we settled on leaving a note and number.
