Hibernation -- Jan. 17, 2024

Har-Ber, Springdale AR
January 11th - 17th, 2024
This week we have spent some time in hibernation! While there was really just the one big storm, AR is lacking snowplows so we haven't been allowed on the roads. We've had to do a lot of missionary work inside, but at least we got snow!
Highlights!
•     We had a really cool experience with an inactive member. She no longer agrees with any religion, and it was a little tense at first. By the end of it though she asked us to help her find a ward member who can be a father figure and role model for her son. The interaction couldve gone so many ways but it was such a positive experience!
•     Missed our friend by 2 minutes, but it meant getting to watch his grin as he zoomed by and did some impressive donuts on the snow packed roads before backing into his driveway.
•     Really cool video call with this Pohnpeian guy named Anthony! He is really excited to come to church with his family this week.
•     Quote of the week: "I haven't thought about my baptism at all... I've just been chillin' in my bed"πŸ˜‚
Since I started my mission I've really studied the Book of Mormon and my testimony has grown so much. I know with my whole heart that it is true and have come to love its prophets and its teachings so much. We have another record of Jesus Christ!! I'm just so excited to share this book with the world. I've seen it bless so many lives.
Whether or not you've read it every day for years or never picked it up, I'd echo the plea from prophets and apostles to start tonight and read it!! Trust me, and trust Him. It will be worth it.
“You could have given me diamonds or rubies, but nothing is more precious to me than this additional knowledge about the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Love and Mizpah! (Gen 31:40)
