July 24, 2024 -- Secondhand Miracles & Fruitsnacks
Centerton, AR
July 18 - 24th, 2024
"I'll stay where you want me to stay"🎶 Yep - I'm staying another transfer in Centerton! That'll make 5 transfers and more than 7 months!!
Highlights -
• Ian is on a trip but we got to spend some time with Sister Gerhardt♡ On top of the wonderful time we had talking with her, she left us with probably 2 billion fruit snacks (at least 60)
• So much rain!! It was absolutely wonderful. Something about knocking doors while being drenched head to toe hits different. People gave us some weird looks but we had a great time.
• Kirsty is about ready for a miracle. Please pray for her🙏
At the start of this week we had a lot of miracles, but yesterday felt like they were all falling through. Everyone was canceling or not interested, but we prayed for more miracles and went about our day. And what a day. First, we felt prompted to visit Alyssa. We had very briefly talked a month ago and didn't get a time to come back but wrote her address down in case. She was SO excited to see us. When we came by last month she said it had been the hardest time in her life. And after we talked she closed the door and just started crying. She was absolutely beaming when she saw us again and ASKED if she could come to church! We don't hear the other end of the story but were so grateful for a miracle that was just what we needed that day.
That same afternoon we met George out running. He said he had wanted to pray with us but must have second guessed and walked past. Sister Greene felt the prompting to turn and it led to the coolest interaction. He decided just last Sunday that he needed to go to church. He has started praying and studying and trying to turn him life around and be a better dad. It was so cool seeing his humility and honesty talking with us out on the street! The Lord has been preparing George for a long time. I am so grateful to witness first hand how God has a plan for each of his children and knows exactly where they are at!!
"And he gathereth his children from the four quarters of the earth; and he numbereth his sheep, and they know him; and there shall be one fold and one shepherd; and he shall feed his sheep, and in him they shall find pasture." 1 Nephi 22:25
Love and Mizpah!
