Feb. 21, 2024 -- Shades of Walmart

One of the first things I learned about Bentonville AR is that it is the home of Walmart. And seriously they are everywhere, in every shade: Walmart gas stations, neighborhood markets, supercenters, distribution center, Home Office, museum, and cafe. I am well taken care of.😂

Highlights!
•     I'm a big fan of our friend Wyatt. He sometimes says the most out of pocket things but also the most sincere questions! He's been excited to learn but afraid of doing something wrong. He really wanted to make sure this is what God wants for him before deciding to be baptized. 
     He has been pondering a lot this week and felt that as long as he was trying to show his commitment to the Lord, he couldn't go wrong. We invited him to pray about it and pick a day, and he said he will - but is definitely leaning towards yes! And soon! We couldn't explain away all his fears, but the Lord helped him figure it out🩷
•     Had a great time acting out the story of King Lamoni's father ("Super Slay king" according to our cute members Scarlett and Dorian) and his conversion to the church - using Legos. Our limited character options left us with characters like Luke Skywalker and Minecraft Zombie, but we got the point across😂
•     Iván referred himself and is really excited to grow his relationship with Jesus Christ. And what's cool is he really wants to involve his family so they can all grow through the process.

This week I have been going through an album with pictures of Christ and it is such an uplifting experience. My favorites show Christ embracing people like you and me, overjoyed to be with them. The expressions depicted by these painters are beautiful reminders that Jesus Christ is not some unapproachable being, he is our brother. He loves us and joys in being with us - mourning our heartache and celebrating our success. 

1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

Do everything you can to learn of and come closer to Jesus Christ. There is nothing more joyful!!☀️

Har-Ber Springdale, AR 1/04/24 - 1/10/24 Highlights! •     Finally finished talking Plan of Salvation with Donna after 3 long lessons! She is so involved and goes in deep. Har-Ber Springdale AR January 18th-24th, 2024 Hey!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. We've kept busy here, so straight to the highlights! •     Parul really wants both of her kids to be baptized, but one of them doesn't need to be (we believe it is only necessary for those who are old enough and able to understand the commitment). We were worried she wouldn't let Wendy be baptized if Patrick couldn't, but it suddenly clicked for her that we aren't excluding him, he is simply whole and pure already😊 •     We knocked into our member Sandy's son, he wasn't super interested, but we mentioned it to her. She said she's felt prompted lately that she needs to tell her kids about the Book of Mormon and this helped confirm it!! Out with the Swamp Kittens -- Jan. 31, 2024

Har-Ber Springdale, AR Jan 25th - 31st, 2024 Another great week here in Springdale! I've been working with Parul and her family pretty much since starting and they have come so far. This week they sat in first hour of church (sacrament meeting) for the first time! That was a big steppingstone, Parul has been so worried about it knowing how crazy her kinds can be. It went wonderfully and everyone had a great experience. Wendy is on track to be baptized on the 17th!! Highlights! •     Hit 6 months today!!🎉 •     Saw a live possum "swamp kitty" crossing the street •     We had records of someone the missionaries had visited and had a pretty bad interaction with. He was upset they hadn't come in so long... but because he was so upset no one had come back in another 2 years. Sister Morton felt we should do something so we settled on leaving a note and number.
