Dec. 27, 2023 -- Christmas Miracles!

I hope you all had the most wonderful Christmas!! Christmas Eve was definitely the highlight of my week. We went to the Duncans and they are the picture of southern hospitality - it was like we were family! They did a chaotically wonderful talent show before reading Luke 2 and leaving us with stockings and breakfast. They then went out in the pouring rain to carol for Misty it was so sweet!!🎄❄️

We spent Christmas morning with the Zone where we did a training and a gift exchange and had a great time together. We then went to the Rieskes for Christmas dinner! Even with all their family there they wanted to sit down and visit with us<3

Highlights!
•     Transfer news! Springdale's stuck with me😆
•     The best miracle!! Last month we tried the Stop Smoking Workshop with Misty it kinda crashed and burned. Anyways this week we call her and out of the blue she just says "I'm ready to QUIT SMOKING"!!! She has had some slip ups but all of the sudden really wants to change and get to the temple. Sending prayers of gratitude🙏❤️
•     We didn't think there was anything we could do for this family who couldn't afford Christmas until the Kramer family in the ward volunteered themselves to help. The kids came piling out of the car with armfuls if gifts it was so sweet.
•     Shoutout to my family and friends for the happiest Christmas morning! I was given some very thoughtful (and sometimes hilarious) gifts😄
•     So excited to stay with Sister Morton. She's a powerful teacher and always makes me laugh:)

I was given a bracelet with my favorite scripture as a missionary engraven on it, the verse reminds me of why I'm here when times are tough. I'm so grateful to be a part of this great work!

D&C 128: 22 "Brethren, shall we not go on in so great a cause? Go forward and not backward. Courage, brethren; and on, on to the victory!"

Har-Ber Springdale AR January 18th-24th, 2024 Hey!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. We've kept busy here, so straight to the highlights! •     Parul really wants both of her kids to be baptized, but one of them doesn't need to be (we believe it is only necessary for those who are old enough and able to understand the commitment). We were worried she wouldn't let Wendy be baptized if Patrick couldn't, but it suddenly clicked for her that we aren't excluding him, he is simply whole and pure already😊 •     We knocked into our member Sandy's son, he wasn't super interested, but we mentioned it to her. She said she's felt prompted lately that she needs to tell her kids about the Book of Mormon and this helped confirm it!! Out with the Swamp Kittens -- Jan. 31, 2024

Har-Ber Springdale, AR Jan 25th - 31st, 2024 Another great week here in Springdale! I've been working with Parul and her family pretty much since starting and they have come so far. This week they sat in first hour of church (sacrament meeting) for the first time! That was a big steppingstone, Parul has been so worried about it knowing how crazy her kinds can be. It went wonderfully and everyone had a great experience. Wendy is on track to be baptized on the 17th!! Highlights! •     Hit 6 months today!!🎉 •     Saw a live possum "swamp kitty" crossing the street •     We had records of someone the missionaries had visited and had a pretty bad interaction with. He was upset they hadn't come in so long... but because he was so upset no one had come back in another 2 years. Sister Morton felt we should do something so we settled on leaving a note and number.
