Dec. 13, 2023 -- Raining Squirrels

Highlights!
-     We had lots of friends show up to the Ward Christmas party which was amazing!! One of which was surprised to find out we weren't the same missionaries she had met before, but even without knowing anyone still decided to come!
-     Went to a church with a casual bamboo forest next to it. Apparently that's a thing in AR??
-     Wow. Can't begin to describe this guy we talked to. He doesn't allow himself to care about or trust anyone but confided in us his story. I've never met someone who has a harder past and present, yet he is such a kind soul. He doesn't believe there is a God, but he really wants to. Please please pray that he will find his answer and feel the Spirit.
-     On a lighter note he has been seeking a stray dog that needs him. The other day a squirrel fell from the sky in front of him. He looks at it. It looks at him. Looking up, "A squirrel? You've got to be kidding me". Back to the squirrel - sitting, staring. Man walks by "That your squirrel?" "What, no!" "He seems to think so..." Squirrel is still watching. "Oh, C'mon. Don't give me that look" Walks away🤣
Lately I keep asking myself, how could I be so blessed when there are people out there who have gone through so much?? Why should my life be stripped of sorrow while others are frightened, alone, lost. To be honest, I don't have an answer. But what I do know is I can't waste it. Maybe God gave me what I have because there are others around me who need lifting. So... I guess I'd just ask you to think about that. Maybe God has placed each of you in your circumstances because there is someone he needs you to help.

Har-Ber Springdale, AR 1/04/24 - 1/10/24 Highlights! •     Finally finished talking Plan of Salvation with Donna after 3 long lessons! She is so involved and goes in deep. Har-Ber Springdale AR January 18th-24th, 2024 Hey!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. We've kept busy here, so straight to the highlights! •     Parul really wants both of her kids to be baptized, but one of them doesn't need to be (we believe it is only necessary for those who are old enough and able to understand the commitment). We were worried she wouldn't let Wendy be baptized if Patrick couldn't, but it suddenly clicked for her that we aren't excluding him, he is simply whole and pure already😊 •     We knocked into our member Sandy's son, he wasn't super interested, but we mentioned it to her. She said she's felt prompted lately that she needs to tell her kids about the Book of Mormon and this helped confirm it!! Out with the Swamp Kittens -- Jan. 31, 2024

Har-Ber Springdale, AR Jan 25th - 31st, 2024 Another great week here in Springdale! I've been working with Parul and her family pretty much since starting and they have come so far. This week they sat in first hour of church (sacrament meeting) for the first time! That was a big steppingstone, Parul has been so worried about it knowing how crazy her kinds can be. It went wonderfully and everyone had a great experience. Wendy is on track to be baptized on the 17th!! Highlights! •     Hit 6 months today!!🎉 •     Saw a live possum "swamp kitty" crossing the street •     We had records of someone the missionaries had visited and had a pretty bad interaction with. He was upset they hadn't come in so long... but because he was so upset no one had come back in another 2 years. Sister Morton felt we should do something so we settled on leaving a note and number.
