Nov. 1, 2023 -- Pillsbury Dough Boy

Hello from Har-Ber!!
All week we have been meeting with the Cox kids to help them prepare for their baptism. They are such sweet kids and their parents are so supportive - at the end of the week we got to join them and their grandparents for their nightly Book of Mormon study which was so powerful. I won't be here forever, so I'm so grateful to know they are in such good hands. On Sunday, after a crazy afternoon of rushing pitchers of water from every available faucet to fill the font, Jayden, Khloe, and Brentley were baptized!!  The spirit was so strong and their whole family was just glowing. I'm so grateful families can be together forever through God's merciful plan.
Highlights!
-     We decided to focus on finding people this week and were able to find 6 people on one street!! There hadn't been much success in the area before, but today it felt like we were sent to the promised land! So many amazing individuals<3
-     On Halloween we volunteered at donation center where we enjoyed (I'll admit, I enjoyed it😂) the first Christmas music of the season
-     Halloween wasn't very eventful, but I did get to celebrate with loads of candy! XD (Shoutout to my family and the Junk family - thank you!!)
-     Dinner with my favorite members Diana and Elvira!! They are the sweetest mother and daughter and took us out to Fayetteville for dinner.
-     The subject line came from this lovely quote: "We all have our differences. You like monkeys, and I like the Pillsbury dough boy" -Sister Anderson
Instead of music, Sister Anderson and I have been listening to the book Saints during our morning workout. It is incredible to see what the pioneers and early members of the Church were willing to sacrifice for what they knew to be true. We too will be asked to make some sacrifices when we choose to follow Jesus Christ. The road is not and never has been easy. So ask yourself, is it worth it? I can promise you that the decision to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ will be difficult, but it will also be the most joyous and fulfilling choice you ever make.❤️
"How could we believe it would be easy for us when it was never, ever easy for Him? [...]
I believe it is supposed to require some effort, something from the depths of our soul." Jeffrey R Holland
I love you and Jesus loves you! Thanks for the emails!!
