Sept. 4, 2024 -- Speechless

Its usually not good news when President and the APs call both our phones about 4 times and text us "URGENT" But no, it was simply... transfer news!! They are shipping me away to the far reaches of our mission. I'll be training another new missionary, following after Elders in an area I know nothing about. Goodbye Bentonville, hello Salem🫡

I can't wait, but oh man I'm going to miss it here. I've met some pretty amazing people in the 5 transfers and 7 months I've been in Centerton. Here's a few things I'll miss:
•     SISTER GREENE!!! Guys. She is literally amazing. Sister Greene has the most beautiful testimony and the most incredible way with words. You can't not feel the Spirit as she teaches. I'm so grateful for all we've been through together. Love you lots and you got this!!
•     The members here in C23 are incredible. They are the most amazing fellowshippers, and are so excited to come out with us, be involved in the work, and befriend everyone we are teaching. They are incredible examples and I'm so grateful.
•     We've also some pretty amazing converts that we've got to work with. Heather, Wyatt, Ian, Kim and George are people I'll remember forever. I'm excited to see what's next for them, and for our other good friends like Kirsty and Tom.
•     I'm leaving the Walmart capital of the world. Don't know what I'll do without all these shopping options.

On top of that, a LOT of happenings this week. Buckle up:
•     Oh my goodness Kim and George are baptized!! It's just incredible to me how ready they were for this. It came so fast, we've only known them a couple of weeks! But it's been amazing to see the change in this newly married newly baptized couple. We met them again yesterday and Kim just had the biggest smile and brightest eyes. They are so excited for the spirit they've felt and want to start sharing it!
•     Aside from the transfer news that left me anything but speechless, my voice was completely and utterly gone for a good part of the week. Sister Greene was my voice so I didn't small away the small children.
•     Tom is just so cool. We brought him to a members hope, where after telling us the same few stories and the same old jokes, we had a pretty amazing conversation. He knows the Book of Mormon is true and prayed if September 21 was the day for him to baptized. After the prayer he paused his comedic streak, put his hands up to his heart and said "this feels right"

Centerton, AR May 16 - 22, 2024 Ian got baptized this week!!😆 It was such a special day for him, and he had great support from the Deacons and the ward. I am SO excited for him and his family🩷 Highlights! •     Got to back to my last area, Har-Ber, for zone Conference and saw our sweet member Jeanne! •     Got to talk to the sweetest single dad, Alex, out smoking meat with a pretty crazy contraption. He got emotional at the end, and told us to come back in 6 months after his surgery so he could sit down and talk with us more:) •     Nothing brightens my day more than hanging out with kids at member dinners! Mar. 13, 2024 -- Golden Hour🙌

Centerton, AR  March 7th - 13th This week Wyatt was baptized!! What an incredible day. He bore his testimony at the end and shared his story. The spirit was so strong, and it is clear that God has great plans for him. The next day he received the greatest gift for his birthday, the Gift of the Holy Ghost😊 It was so cool to see the proud faces of the brothers Wyatt has met as they watched him make this step. They loved him as soon as they met him, and so many were quick to invite him to dinners and gatherings. It is never to late to be a missionary. Highlights! •     Got to be involved with a service organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace, where they make beds for kids who don't have them. Centerton, AR  Feb 22 -28, 2024 While I may not have any crazy stories to share, this week - and every week - is full of tiny little miracles. Some people might call them coincidences, but I know they are miracles:) Tiny miracles/Highlights! •     After our visit, our friend Prakash drove to a neighbors and we sat in the car outside of his house for a good while planning where to go next. Suddenly Sister Thayn notes we should probably go before he gets back, and no joke as soon as I start driving his headlights turn the corner😂 The timing was crazy. •     Couldn't find my wallet, until the next morning when someone had left it untouched on our windshield. •     One of our friends is turning his life to God. He had a court case after someone attacked him and texted us right after saying that God told him to forgive his oppressor, and he did. •     Wyatt!
