Sept. 18, 2024 -- Herding Cows

Salem, MO 

Sept 12th - 18th, 2024 

When we first got here, no one was being taught - but wow the Lord has provided so many miracles! Soon after we arrived we got a referral from someone requesting a Book of Mormon. Last time that happened it was quite the prank, so we were a little wary haha. But Lisa invited us in immediately and was so eager to learn! We brought up baptism and she said she was about to ask if she could be baptized. October 19th is the day!🎉 She is such a sweetheart, and got the three of us matching dresses for church😊

Highlights!
•     We visited Lisa after she missed church on Sunday, and walked up to the door to hear her blasting gospel music and singing her heart out. She had "already repented" and will be there next week😂
•     One guy ran up to us on the streets asking "are yall Jesus freaks?" We hesitantly answered yes, and he insisted that we must recieve the holy spirit. He started praying, and wanted us to take turns confessing that we were sinners. Thats not my favorite way to pray in public so excitedly assured him we already have the holy spirit! Relieved or realizing we are a lost cause - he hugged me without a moments hesitation and skipped away. 
•     Every week we get to volunteer at a local food pantry that is crazy busy and does a crazy amount of good. And the people there are angels!

After dinner, Brother Wilson took us out to feed his animals. We followed him with a lantern down an uneven trail while he called out to the cows. We threw out food for them and they came in surrounding us, while my companion held tightly to my arm. Then he brought us in a little circle and shared how just like the cows recognize his voice, the good Shepherd calls us and we must recognize his. It was a beautiful moment.

"To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out." 
"And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice."

Mar. 13, 2024 -- Golden Hour🙌

Centerton, AR  March 7th - 13th This week Wyatt was baptized!! What an incredible day. He bore his testimony at the end and shared his story. The spirit was so strong, and it is clear that God has great plans for him. The next day he received the greatest gift for his birthday, the Gift of the Holy Ghost😊 It was so cool to see the proud faces of the brothers Wyatt has met as they watched him make this step. They loved him as soon as they met him, and so many were quick to invite him to dinners and gatherings. It is never to late to be a missionary. Highlights! •     Got to be involved with a service organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace, where they make beds for kids who don't have them. Feb. 28, 2024 -- Where's Gary

Centerton, AR  Feb 22 -28, 2024 While I may not have any crazy stories to share, this week - and every week - is full of tiny little miracles. Some people might call them coincidences, but I know they are miracles:) Tiny miracles/Highlights! •     After our visit, our friend Prakash drove to a neighbors and we sat in the car outside of his house for a good while planning where to go next. Suddenly Sister Thayn notes we should probably go before he gets back, and no joke as soon as I start driving his headlights turn the corner😂 The timing was crazy. •     Couldn't find my wallet, until the next morning when someone had left it untouched on our windshield. •     One of our friends is turning his life to God. He had a court case after someone attacked him and texted us right after saying that God told him to forgive his oppressor, and he did. •     Wyatt!
