Oct. 30, 2024 -- Bubble Guns & IKEA

Salem, MO

Oct 24th - 30th, 2024

This morning we started the 8 hour round trip to attend the temple in Bentonville! It was absolutely wonderful and absolutely worth it. I'm so excited to help our friends get there.

Highlights!
•     Our member Carrie invited her coworker Mike (who we often run into at McDonalds) to the Trunk or Treat AND church! He and his daughter loved it!
•     Lost my voice (again😅) but Sister Brinkerhoff carried! She led out and did wonderfully.
•     Taught Jim and Crystal about the First Vision and they were so receptive. Jim was practically teaching it and has such a strong testimony, honestly not sure why he isnt a member yet.
•     You never know what to expect in the day of a missionary. For example: being sent away with the fanfare of bubble guns, a preacher promising to pray we find good husbands (telling us to call him when we do), and using all our ikea skills to build someone a crib with dogs and 2 year olds climbing all over it. Missionary life is full of surprises and I love it.

Lastly, yesterday we had an incredible Zone Conference, where our mission president talked about having faith and expecting mighty miracles. I loved this quote he shared:

"What we see with the eye of faith now, we will one day see with our own eyes"

A few months ago we were praying for Wyatts family, that they would be open to the gospel - this Sunday was their baptism day. We had to leave Dallas in the Lord's hands for now, but with an eye of faith we see him one day finding peace and answers in the temple! Dream big and pray hard, with God and faith what we can only imagine now can become a reality:)

Love and Mizpah!
Sister Harris💕
