Nov. 6, 2024 -- Bring the Rain

Not too much to report this week, we've had some crazy flooding out here and spent lots of time knocking in the rain! We had so many good interactions that have left us feeling the spirit, even when they didn't go anywhere. We also had many interactions, good and bad, where my companion and I gave each other a look (if you're a missionary you know that look) and just said "wait what?"

Highlights!
•     Met Kenzie!! She is a young mom and came to church with her family on Sunday, where she signed up to have us over! Assuming her and her husband were members (based off of their awesome comments in class and the fact that her husband's siblings make up half the branch) we started in and had a great conversation! About halfway through we realized that she wasn't a member, that she had thought about baptism, and that she has been taught just about everything, and wants to start the discussions again! She is so elect and we are so excited!!
•     Halloween wasn't super eventful, but as we went in our apartment before dark to work on some planning we heard a knock on the door. Expecting trick or treaters, we were surprised to see one of our members. He presented us each with two little candy bars and wished us a happy Halloween. Made my week.🙌🎃
•     Had a 30 minute call with the sweetest guy Brother Ecoff who hasn't come to church in years. He told us of a wild situation that kept him away but that he was so glad we called and he decided he needed to be there this Sunday. Then he proceeded to send us pictures of his dogs and a rainbow he saw. I'm so glad he is back. 

This week I loved this quote that one of our members, Sister Zufelt, shared with us in a lesson:

"If you worry, why pray? And if you pray, why worry?" 

I'm so glad we have a God who will look out for us and take our burdens if we only have the faith to let go and give them to him:)

Centerton, AR May 16 - 22, 2024 Ian got baptized this week!!😆 It was such a special day for him, and he had great support from the Deacons and the ward. I am SO excited for him and his family🩷 Highlights! •     Got to back to my last area, Har-Ber, for zone Conference and saw our sweet member Jeanne! •     Got to talk to the sweetest single dad, Alex, out smoking meat with a pretty crazy contraption. He got emotional at the end, and told us to come back in 6 months after his surgery so he could sit down and talk with us more:) •     Nothing brightens my day more than hanging out with kids at member dinners! Mar. 13, 2024 -- Golden Hour🙌

Centerton, AR  March 7th - 13th This week Wyatt was baptized!! What an incredible day. He bore his testimony at the end and shared his story. The spirit was so strong, and it is clear that God has great plans for him. The next day he received the greatest gift for his birthday, the Gift of the Holy Ghost😊 It was so cool to see the proud faces of the brothers Wyatt has met as they watched him make this step. They loved him as soon as they met him, and so many were quick to invite him to dinners and gatherings. It is never to late to be a missionary. Highlights! •     Got to be involved with a service organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace, where they make beds for kids who don't have them. Feb. 28, 2024 -- Where's Gary

Centerton, AR  Feb 22 -28, 2024 While I may not have any crazy stories to share, this week - and every week - is full of tiny little miracles. Some people might call them coincidences, but I know they are miracles:) Tiny miracles/Highlights! •     After our visit, our friend Prakash drove to a neighbors and we sat in the car outside of his house for a good while planning where to go next. Suddenly Sister Thayn notes we should probably go before he gets back, and no joke as soon as I start driving his headlights turn the corner😂 The timing was crazy. •     Couldn't find my wallet, until the next morning when someone had left it untouched on our windshield. •     One of our friends is turning his life to God. He had a court case after someone attacked him and texted us right after saying that God told him to forgive his oppressor, and he did. •     Wyatt!
