July 31, 2024 -- Matchmakers

Sister Greene and I have got to play matchmaker a lot lately, and I must admit we are getting pretty good at it (okay actually I better give the spirit all the credit, but it's a lot of fun). We get to pair up each of our friends with members to love and fellowship them, and watch the magic happen! One of the brothers texted us after a lesson saying he spent an extra 2 hours there, they were all best friends, and he's going to beg the Elders Quorum president to pair them as ministering brothers. 

Highlights!
•     Alyssa is incredible!! She is just the happiest person ever and she is SO excited about the gospel. She absolutely loved church and one of the speakers made her cry. Then that afternoon we got to take her to a baptism and she loved it and how happy everyone was. She is a bubble of positivity and we love her.
•     We had a lot of first timers at church, including Kim and George! They are also so excited to learn the Gospel and eager to share their good experiences with members from many years back. Kim even made us "caffeine free herbal tea" at our first lesson it was the sweetest.
•     In the true AR fashion we talked to Jerry for an hour about God, politics, and conspiracies. Apparently the government is hiding extra books from the Bible that can be used to control the weather. But hey we also got to hear his stories about starting a Bible group in prison and hearing God. Sometimes the roughest people are the coolest people. 
•     Book recommendations: Bishop Hoyt illustrates children's books and they might be the cutest thing I've ever seen. Also Sister Greene is an author?? And a Canadian. She's full of surprises. Anyways look up Ard Hoyt and Tessa Greene;)

Well, it's officially been a year since I started my mission so that's kinda crazy!! I have changed so much, grown closer to my Savior, and met so many angels. I wouldn't trade this experience for the world. If a mission is something you are thinking about - go!! There are people to love and lives to change and miracles to experience. 

"Behold, and lo, I have much people in this place, in the regions round about; and an effectual door shall be opened in the regions round about in this eastern land.

Therefore, I, the Lord, have suffered you to come unto this place; for thus it was expedient in me for the salvation of souls."

Centerton, AR May 16 - 22, 2024 Ian got baptized this week!!😆 It was such a special day for him, and he had great support from the Deacons and the ward. I am SO excited for him and his family🩷 Highlights! •     Got to back to my last area, Har-Ber, for zone Conference and saw our sweet member Jeanne! •     Got to talk to the sweetest single dad, Alex, out smoking meat with a pretty crazy contraption. He got emotional at the end, and told us to come back in 6 months after his surgery so he could sit down and talk with us more:) •     Nothing brightens my day more than hanging out with kids at member dinners! Mar. 13, 2024 -- Golden Hour🙌

Centerton, AR  March 7th - 13th This week Wyatt was baptized!! What an incredible day. He bore his testimony at the end and shared his story. The spirit was so strong, and it is clear that God has great plans for him. The next day he received the greatest gift for his birthday, the Gift of the Holy Ghost😊 It was so cool to see the proud faces of the brothers Wyatt has met as they watched him make this step. They loved him as soon as they met him, and so many were quick to invite him to dinners and gatherings. It is never to late to be a missionary. Highlights! •     Got to be involved with a service organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace, where they make beds for kids who don't have them. Feb. 28, 2024 -- Where's Gary

Centerton, AR  Feb 22 -28, 2024 While I may not have any crazy stories to share, this week - and every week - is full of tiny little miracles. Some people might call them coincidences, but I know they are miracles:) Tiny miracles/Highlights! •     After our visit, our friend Prakash drove to a neighbors and we sat in the car outside of his house for a good while planning where to go next. Suddenly Sister Thayn notes we should probably go before he gets back, and no joke as soon as I start driving his headlights turn the corner😂 The timing was crazy. •     Couldn't find my wallet, until the next morning when someone had left it untouched on our windshield. •     One of our friends is turning his life to God. He had a court case after someone attacked him and texted us right after saying that God told him to forgive his oppressor, and he did. •     Wyatt!
