Dec. 25, 2024 -- Happy Birthday Jesus
Springfield, MO
Dec 19 - 25Merry Christmas everyone!! I'm so grateful for this time to celebrate Christ's birth, the greatest gift of all❤️๐๐ซ
Highlights!
• After a wonderful morning of talking to family, we got to spent Christmas on our Bishop's farm! It was beautiful and we had a wonderful time feeding the cows and lighting a bonfire haha. I'm so grateful to have one more Christmas as a missionary, and can't wait to go share the good word tonight!
• MAJOR MIRACLES from past areas. Jason got baptized!! He just called the Elders up and said he was ready this weekend. We got to video call in! It took like 30 minutes, a lot of trial and error, and an extra guy in the font to actually perform the baptism - but he did it!! And Lisa quit smoking and Misty from Har-Ber went to church and is taking lessons again!
• We got to participate in some wonderful Christmas service this week! We took a sweet little girl and her dad to pick out some new clothes and gifts with the Bairds, volunteered to be Santa's elves at a the Hospital (singing carols to patients and taking them to pick out gifts- it was precious and tears were shed), and built an impromptu cat tree before our lesson!
We focused so much this week on the two Christmas stories, Luke 2 and 3 Nephi 1. I loved reading from 3 Nephi, and imagining the relief the nephites must have felt as the sun continued to shine - the joy of knowing that all of it was true. Christ was come, and because of him all would be well! ❤️
"Lift up your head and be of good cheer; for behold, the time is at hand, and on this night shall the sign be given, and on the morrow come I into the world"
3 Nephi 1:13
Love, Mizpah, and Merry Christmas!!๐๐ฅณ
