Dec. 11, 2024 -- Bibles and Boxing🥊

Dec 5 - 11, 2024
Good afternoon!! Things are going wonderfully out here, I wish I could tell you about all the incredible people I've met - but here are just a few😊 I hope you all have a wonderful week and meet some of your own miracles!
Highlights!
• Abby!! We finally got to do a lesson with her before she leaves town for a month. She is so excited to learn and eventually be baptized. She had to work on Sunday at 10:30, but that didn't stop her from coming to the first 20 minutes of church!
• Khalil has been meeting for a while now, and he is so close to baptism!! He says he will do it but he is being stubborn and keeps procrastinating (he will tell you that😂) We talked about temples and a collective "nooo" sounded through the room when he said "you don't realize this gave me an excuse to procrastinate more... I can just let my grandkids baptize me!" He is a funny guy and the members love him.
• This Thursday we found ourselves walking in the dark of the night, with arms full of bibles, up to a Boxing gym of all places. With hardly so much as an introduction the owner Roni pointed to two chairs in the middle of the gym and said "they are waiting" All the boxers stopped what they were doing and lined up against the wall as we taught them from the Bible about the prodigal son and the love of our Father in Heaven. You never know where you're going to find those who are ready to listen. Christ meets us where we are at!
• This week we got to do our first booth on campus!! We did a Light the world booth with some of our members - it was semi-successful and lots of fun! We did a little choose your own adventure where everyone would draw 3 slips of paper with who, how, and when to serve. It was super cute!
I love that Light the World is the focus of our church every Christmas season. It is something that everyone can participate in, and it makes the whole season that much more joyful. When we are lighting the world we are doing exactly what Christ would do if he were here! So here is your challenge: Pull up ltw.how, find a randomized project, and do it! I promise it will bring joy!! 🎄❤️✨️
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"
