July 4th - 10th
Happy Independence Day!! Here we celebrated with a huge Thunderstorm and enjoyed a mix of both man's and God's fireworks. It was pretty cool.
Highlights!
• Our sweet friend Anita is the most delightful person ever. She used to meet with Elders and sit outside and eat popsicles together. Now 4 years down the road we knocked into her and are partaking of her joy. She always tells us how she gets the chills when she drives by the temple, and we are so excited to get her inside!
• Our friend Alex invited us over on the 4th. The bible study we expected ended up being a Karaoke performance of Poncho and Lefty. Complete with a microphone and disco lights - it was awesome😂
• Ciceda season! The bugs here simply go crazy. We've got what I believe are the 7 and 2 year Cicedas surfacing. They are so loud, but I love them! Between the fireworks, lightning, and cicedas there were a lot of sounds competing for our attention on the 4th haha.
This week we had a lot of fun at some of our member dinners! For our message we had all of the kids grab a random object around the house and relate it to the gospel. From rubber chickens to Pokémon cards to oven thermometers - they were all able to tie it in! Even though it was a silly game, it was cool to think about how you can really find God's hand in everything. Keep an eye out this week!
"All things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator"
