Aug. 14, 2024 -- Did you fill my oil tank, Jesus?

August 8-14, 2024 

I'm disappointed for not titling my last email "anxiously engaged", but with less than 3 days to put it together, the wedding pulled through and we've got ourselves a happy couple! We had so much help from the ward with flowers, pictures, and guests. And Kim and George were so excited about it all!! I wish you could've seen their glowing faces and the way they looked at each other. It made for an unforgettable day🤍

Highlights/Happenings 
•     Never thought I'd be a bridesmaid on my mission, much less found ring shopping. But that's exactly what we found ourselves doing. You can get a pretty lovely ring for $15, and no one need ever know it came from Walmart.
•     Had so much fun teaching the Patrick family! We sat in their front yard watching their hermit crabs racing through the grass while teaching about Jesus. When we told Aniston Heavenly Father was like her dad, and loves her that much - her face just lit up.
•     The world lost a good man this last week. One of our good friends passed unexpectedly, and we sure miss that spiritual giant. I love one of the things he texted us - that even when he didn't feel worthy of the spirits presence, "just boop! Angel" He sure loved soaking in that spirit, and he couldn't be in a better place now🙏

Last week we reviewed the Law of Tithing with Wyatt, and we later found out that literally right as we were teaching it his account was being hacked and all of his money was stolen😅 That said, he was completely broke this week. He shared with us how he prayed that his car would make it to the end of the week - it was making noises and was way past the limit for an oil change, but he couldnt pay for it. At the end of the week his money was restored and he went in the shop only to find out that his oil tank was completely full - with what the worker said was brand new oil. As Wyatt put it, "Jesus, did you fill my oil tank?" 

I love that message. When we give our hearts to Jesus, he will fill us up!

"...the Spirit of the Lord came upon them, and they were filled with joy, having received a remission of their sins, and having peace of conscience, because of the exceeding faith which they had in Jesus Christ who should come..." Mosiah 4:3

Centerton, AR May 16 - 22, 2024 Ian got baptized this week!!😆 It was such a special day for him, and he had great support from the Deacons and the ward. I am SO excited for him and his family🩷 Highlights! •     Got to back to my last area, Har-Ber, for zone Conference and saw our sweet member Jeanne! •     Got to talk to the sweetest single dad, Alex, out smoking meat with a pretty crazy contraption. He got emotional at the end, and told us to come back in 6 months after his surgery so he could sit down and talk with us more:) •     Nothing brightens my day more than hanging out with kids at member dinners! Mar. 13, 2024 -- Golden Hour🙌

Centerton, AR  March 7th - 13th This week Wyatt was baptized!! What an incredible day. He bore his testimony at the end and shared his story. The spirit was so strong, and it is clear that God has great plans for him. The next day he received the greatest gift for his birthday, the Gift of the Holy Ghost😊 It was so cool to see the proud faces of the brothers Wyatt has met as they watched him make this step. They loved him as soon as they met him, and so many were quick to invite him to dinners and gatherings. It is never to late to be a missionary. Highlights! •     Got to be involved with a service organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace, where they make beds for kids who don't have them. Centerton, AR  Feb 22 -28, 2024 While I may not have any crazy stories to share, this week - and every week - is full of tiny little miracles. Some people might call them coincidences, but I know they are miracles:) Tiny miracles/Highlights! •     After our visit, our friend Prakash drove to a neighbors and we sat in the car outside of his house for a good while planning where to go next. Suddenly Sister Thayn notes we should probably go before he gets back, and no joke as soon as I start driving his headlights turn the corner😂 The timing was crazy. •     Couldn't find my wallet, until the next morning when someone had left it untouched on our windshield. •     One of our friends is turning his life to God. He had a court case after someone attacked him and texted us right after saying that God told him to forgive his oppressor, and he did. •     Wyatt!
