Apr. 24, 2024 -- Save the Turtles

This week we had the most amazing experience of going to the temple with Wyatt. It was crazy to watch someone who was baptized a month ago himself turn around and baptize us missionaries by proxy. Wyatt absolutely loved it there, and it was such a joyful spiritual experience I will never forget! 

Highlights!
•     Wyatt spoke in stake Conference, and I have never heard a congregation laugh so much, this guy is going to be a stand up comedian one day🤣
•     After getting a new number and being MIA, Ivan is back! And wow, he is the most prepared person I've ever met. He really wants to work on himself, spend time with better people, and put God in the center of his relationships. We ended up texting the wrong member to host our lesson and showed up at his brother's house. Ivan got along so well with this guy we had never met or considered. The Lord knew where we needed to be!
•     Got to go out with Heather for a birthday lunch! The sisters have been so supportive of her and we were so excited to tag along as she went "out with her girls" to celebrate.
•     Passed a little turtle scurrying across the busy street, by the time I found a spot to turn around to go help it, I was afraid it was too late. We were very relieved as another passerby pulled over haphazardly and ran back to save the turtle without a moment's hesitation. Maybe this world isn't so bad after all.🐢

Reading through Saints, I found this quote from an ancestor of mine that really clicked with me. After all he had been through and the mistakes that sunk him to despair - after all that the Lord still trusted him to be a part of this great work. I feel a lot like Martin Harris as he proclaimed:

“I bless God in the sincerity of my soul that he has condescended to make me—even me—a witness of the greatness of His work!”

The work is moving on with or without my help, and I am just so grateful to be wearing a jersey on the Lord's team.

On the Lord's Errand -- Jan. 24, 2024

Har-Ber Springdale AR January 18th-24th, 2024 Hey!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. We've kept busy here, so straight to the highlights! •     Parul really wants both of her kids to be baptized, but one of them doesn't need to be (we believe it is only necessary for those who are old enough and able to understand the commitment). We were worried she wouldn't let Wendy be baptized if Patrick couldn't, but it suddenly clicked for her that we aren't excluding him, he is simply whole and pure already😊 •     We knocked into our member Sandy's son, he wasn't super interested, but we mentioned it to her. She said she's felt prompted lately that she needs to tell her kids about the Book of Mormon and this helped confirm it!! Out with the Swamp Kittens -- Jan. 31, 2024

Har-Ber Springdale, AR Jan 25th - 31st, 2024 Another great week here in Springdale! I've been working with Parul and her family pretty much since starting and they have come so far. This week they sat in first hour of church (sacrament meeting) for the first time! That was a big steppingstone, Parul has been so worried about it knowing how crazy her kinds can be. It went wonderfully and everyone had a great experience. Wendy is on track to be baptized on the 17th!! Highlights! •     Hit 6 months today!!🎉 •     Saw a live possum "swamp kitty" crossing the street •     We had records of someone the missionaries had visited and had a pretty bad interaction with.
