Jan. 3, 2024 -- Armadillo Crossings and Sacrificing Danaan

Happy New Year!!🎉
•     Today we went to the temple!! No matter how I feel going in, there is nothing but peace left afterwards. Those temple trips really keep me going.
•     We are so excited for our friend Wendy!! A while back we found her mom Parul who was baptized in Kiribati but hasn't come since she moved here. She and her kids are so sweet and have come to church a couple times. While we were teaching Parul, her 12-year-old daughter picked up the BOM! She is preparing for baptism and wants to pray like young Joseph Smith did.
•     Critter Count - 4 Possums, 2 Armadillos (0 living)
•     Fun member game where we have to choose between sacrificing 2 things (ie. Friends/education). Stakes were high...we decided to head out after they decided to sacrifice their brother Danaan instead😂
•     Lots of low-key bible bashing but also some of powerful lessons!! I love teaching about the restoration and first vision as the spirit is always so strong. It's especially cool teaching youth when they realize how young Joseph Smith was when God answered his prayer.
As a zone we are focusing on specific prayers for specific answers! We finally remembered to try it and prayed to find someone who had experienced the temple open house. Guess who we found 3 doors later?
Alma 33:8 Yea, thou art merciful unto thy children when they cry unto thee, to be heard of thee and not of men, and thou wilt hear them.
Love and Mizpah,
Sister Harris❤️
Pictures!
1. Met this awesome guy Corey who reminds me of Uncle Dave (but no one is quite on the same level as Uncle Dave) He was super inspirational and gave us goldback bills that are apparently valid in UT.
2. Frog parking. Classic.
3. Large scale Jenga..?
4. Sister Morton's uno game
5-6. Temple!!
