Oct. 25, 2023 -- Surprise Baptisms!!

Hello from Har-ber!
Sunday we had quite the surprise! Sister Anderson and her old companion had been teaching an inactive family and preparing their kids for baptism. After a family situation came up we hadn't been able to contact them for the past two months. Then out of the blue they all came to church on Sunday! We met with them and Bishop right after Sacrament meeting and they still want to meet their baptism date of next Sunday!! So excited for Chloe, Jaden, and Brentley.
Highlights!
•     Went to Cracker Barrel with our Bible Study friends Kyle and Victoria! After paying for lunch Kyle insisted on buying us loads of candy😂
•     Helped clean our sweet member Debbie's house. She swapped out the music for a Book of Mormon CD and to us the story behind the trinkets she has collected over the years:)
•     Last week we met with our friend Donna (who we didn't think was very interested) and ended up teaching her the restoration and inviting her to read the introduction of the Book of Mormon. When we followed up yesterday she had read that, and all of the following testimonies THREE times! And listened to it another!!
It's amazing to me how the people in the most humble circumstances are often the most selfless people I've ever met. One of our friends in particular is living in the smallest home I've ever seen. She can barely afford food and rent - yet every time we stop by I am amazed by her generosity towards others. The past two times we have visited she has had different friends living with her until they get back on their feet. Despite her situation she is always looking outside of herself for anyone who might need her help. That is what true charity looks like❤️

Har-Ber Springdale, AR 1/04/24 - 1/10/24 Highlights! •     Finally finished talking Plan of Salvation with Donna after 3 long lessons! She is so involved and goes in deep. Har-Ber Springdale AR January 18th-24th, 2024 Hey!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. We've kept busy here, so straight to the highlights! •     Parul really wants both of her kids to be baptized, but one of them doesn't need to be (we believe it is only necessary for those who are old enough and able to understand the commitment). We were worried she wouldn't let Wendy be baptized if Patrick couldn't, but it suddenly clicked for her that we aren't excluding him, he is simply whole and pure already😊 •     We knocked into our member Sandy's son, he wasn't super interested, but we mentioned it to her. She said she's felt prompted lately that she needs to tell her kids about the Book of Mormon and this helped confirm it!! Out with the Swamp Kittens -- Jan. 31, 2024

Har-Ber Springdale, AR Jan 25th - 31st, 2024 Another great week here in Springdale! I've been working with Parul and her family pretty much since starting and they have come so far. This week they sat in first hour of church (sacrament meeting) for the first time! That was a big steppingstone, Parul has been so worried about it knowing how crazy her kinds can be. It went wonderfully and everyone had a great experience. Wendy is on track to be baptized on the 17th!! Highlights! •     Hit 6 months today!!🎉 •     Saw a live possum "swamp kitty" crossing the street •     We had records of someone the missionaries had visited and had a pretty bad interaction with.
