Sept. 20, 2023 -- Temple Dedication!!

Hello from Har-Ber!!
This Sunday we had the biggest miracle, we got to watch the dedication of the Bentonville Arkansas temple💕 Elder Bednar spoke and it was so powerful, he broke down to tears during part of it which just emphasized how significant this is. It's not simply another temple, none of them are. We are blessed with a House of the Lord where we can enter into covenant and everlasting relationships with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and be bound as families into the eternities- how incredible is that?
Highlights!
•      Went to a Spanish baptismal service which was so cool. I don't think the bishop in charge knew I wasn't a Spanish missionary, so he came up to me during the first hymn and talking in Spanish ushered me to the front to lead the music. So there I stood with nothing but the lyrics, leading off beat and attempting to sound out the words. At that point I'm sure the Bishop was fully aware that I was an English missionary😂 The closing hymn was better, I felt pretty confident once I found the sheet music and knew the time haha.
•     A kid answered his door mid brushing his teeth, I think he thought we had left... He tried to play it cool as he nodded his head and we shared a message, and I tried not to ask open ended questions. Haha I don't think he knew that we knew which was a win🤣
•      Sister Anderson and I sang at a funeral of a young father. It was really sad but also very touching and hopeful. The pastor who spoke reminded us to thank God for the blessing of the years that we do have together and think of them as a gift❤️
•      We had the most amazing dinner with two sisters in the ward. They are both converts to the church and the Spirit wad so strong as they shared about their journeys
•      One of our friends has brought up about every question in the book. Questions are so good, but we hadn't been sure if it was going anywhere. This last week he has really been reading the Book of Mormon though and his testimony is slowly but surely growing. We are so excited for him!!
•      Got to wash the cutest dog named Wilbur for one of our members:)
•      Today we played pickleball and got ice cream with some of our friends which was so much fun! We aren't teaching them the lessons but are definitely learning so much from each others beliefs.
A word that has been running through my mind this week is magnitude. I often lose sight of the scope and significance of all that is going on in these last days and God's plan for us. It is so much bigger and so much better than I could ever imagine. As stated in D&C 45:62 "For verily I say unto you, that great things await you." I feel so blessed to be alive during these final days!! Stay strong, and remember that great things await each and every one of you.
Love and Mizpah,
