Image
Rogersville, MO  Feb 6 - Feb 12, 2025  *firstly, you're all invited to my homecoming!! February 23rd, 1:30 pm @ 2394 West 2200 South  College Ward UT * Oh my goodness I have had SO many incredible experiences this week!! But as my mission comes to a close, I just want to leave you with my testimony:) Thank you for your support and prayers!! I feel so very blessed to have had this adventure. I want to share my knowledge that this gospel is true. I know it with all of my heart!! I have felt the spirit fill the room until it is almost tangible, I have seen the tears of broken lives being mended, and I have caught glimpses of a love that that is beyond my own comprehension.  Though I've reached a bittersweet ending, I am grateful for the people I've met here in Missouri and Arkansas. I love them with my whole heart. I am grateful to have had an up close glimpse of God's brilliant, individualized plan. And I'm grateful for my Savior, and his sacrifice. He knows you! He l...

Feb. 5, 2025 -- Let there be Light

Image
Rogersville, MO  Jan 30 - Feb 5, 2025  Got a singular day of sunshine this week and it was glorious!! We also tracted a street with a power outage. As we came to share messages about the light of the world himself all the lights finally came back on. Coincidence? Highlights! •     This transfer I get to be a sister training leader, which means I get to go on exchanges (switch companions for the day) with 7 sets of sisters in our zone! It's actually been the greatest thing, I have learned so much from each of them and love them each so much!!  •     Stan and Dallas!! Dallas accidentally called us this week, and we jumped right on it. We've been able to teach their family twice this week, and they loved it and want to be baptized. Stan even came to church on Sunday!! They are such good guys and so open. It's been hard to find recently so they are definitely a miracle! •     Our members loved our dinner message so much they...

Jan. 29, 2025 -- How to become a Princess 101

Image
Rogersville, MO  Jan 23 - 29, 2025  Steps: 1 . Remember you're already a daughter of God 2 . Find yourself a man who loves you so much he will build a castle for you  (At least that's what worked for our sweet members the Palmers who we had dinner with on Sunday ) Highlights!  •     Had the most chaotic lesson with Marco and his family. They were quick to let us in but there was quite the language barrier. Let me illustrate how it looked about an hour in:       Me, trying to answer Marcos deep doctrine question in simple English. Marco, furiously whispering Ukrainian into his Google translate app as I speak. Sister Going, simultaneously trying to teach a skeptical sister as she scans the Book of Mormon. Marco's friend, arguing with everyone about why our church is wrong in Russian so we can't understand. Dad, just chilling - he doesn't have a clue what we are saying. If that's confusing for you, don't worry I was just as bewi...

Jan. 22, 2025 -- NPCs

Image
Rogersville, MO  Jan 16 - 22, 2025  This week I got to see our YSA V, who reassured us that though we left, he has found that each of us missionaries are NPCs (non-player characters). So pretty much... completely interchangeable/replaceable  While that might not be a life goal I strive for haha, as a missionary it is quite the compliment. I'm grateful for the wonderful missionaries who can be trusted to keep the work going, and grateful for a chance to play for a round in each of my areas! Highlights!  •     We spend a whole lot of time knocking the late night, pitch black, freezing cold, slightly sketchy streets of Rogersville. And we get a whole lot of concerned grandparents, members, and strangers. I don't know whether the chorus of "stay safe" and "be warm"s are making a difference or not, but we are still alive and finding miracles! •     With muddy dogs and rowdy kids all over us, we had a lesson with Patty, who is actually super i...

Jan. 15, 2025 -- Bible Belt *Buckle*

Image
Rogersville, MO  Jan 9 - 15, 2025  Crazy week! I had to leave behind Sister Barrus and YSA, but am excited to be starting out in Rogersville! It's once again small and out in the boonies, and we are loving it!! Sister Going is such a hard worker and I'm so excited for the miracles we are going to see here. Highlights!  •     This week we were assured that no, we are not in the bible belt - we are in the bible belt...  buckle 🤣 Could not be more true. •     The last sisters were teaching Brent, and he is amazing!! We were able to bring his old coworker along- Bob gave him a Book of Mormon probably 10 years ago, and I imagine it must be pretty amazing for Bob to watch him come full circle and prepare for baptism! •     There are always the most interesting miracles God places in the path of those we teach. Years back Brent had some awful experiences and was driving alone for hours on end to get home to MO. A blizzard follow...
